Dr. Everold Hosein serves as President of the COMBI Institute (CI). He is also a Senior Communication Advisor/Consultant, World Health Organization (WHO), Communication Advisor/Consultant to UNICEF, UNFPA, UNWOMEN, Distinguished Scholar at City University of New York, and formerly Senior Counsellor for Social Development at Burson-Marsteller (the largest global public relations and communication consulting company), He is an international communication specialist with over 40 years of experience in strategic marketing communication, advocacy and public relations, and IEC (information-education-communication) related to social development issues, particularly in public health, sexual and reproductive health (including maternal/child health, family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention), population and development, health promotion, nutrition, early childhood education, juvenile justice, children's welfare and girls education, university education, and agricultural and rural development.
He created the Communication for Behavioural Impact (COMBI) method at New York University in 1994. It was adopted by WHO in 2000, and more recently combined with UNICEF’s Communication for Development (C4D) work. Dr. Hosein's global professional experience extends from Africa and Asia to the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, and North America. He has worked in about 150 countries. He has been a consultant to several United Nations agencies (UNICEF, UNFPA, WHO/PAHO,FAO, UNDP, UNESCO, UNDCP, UNAIDS, UNWOMEN), the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, Asia Development Bank, USAID, the German Government, national and international non-governmental organizations, and governments in developing countries. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Business Administration from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Psychology from the University of Kansas. He is originally from Trinidad and Tobago.

Senior Advisor, COMBI Institute: Dr. Elil Renganathan (M.D.)
Dr Elil Renganathan (formerly Vice President for Institutional Development at CI) now serves as its Senior Advisor. He is currently Professor of Public Health and Policy at Sunway University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dr. Renganathan was a key promoter and driver for the adoption of COMBI by WHO, other UN agencies and partners in the early 2000s, and has since remained a steadfast friend of and advocate for COMBI. He has over three decades of experience working with Governments, UN agencies, NGOs and academic institutions. He brings with him a wealth of managerial and institutional experience. He was most recently the WHO Director General's Representative for Evaluation and Organizational Learning. He is originally from Malaysia.

Dr. Hosein supervises and supports the work of CI's Senior Advisor (Dr. Elil Renganathan), 4 Regional Program Managers and five (5) senior associates. The four Regional Program Managers are: Ms. Laura Alhach, Program Manager/Latin America, based in Bogota, Colombia; Mr. Paryss Kouta, Program Manager, Franco-phone Africa and West Africa, based in Senegal; Mr. Julius Lukwako, Program Manager, East and South Africa, based in Uganda and Kenya; Prof. Thomas Abraham, Program Manager, South and South East Asia, based in India. The five senior associates are: Ms. Dianne Pollet of Belgium/Switzerland; Mr. Jan Marcus Hellstrom of Finland; Prof. Dr. Ewart Skinner, Bowling Green University/USA; Prof. Dr. Kalim Shah, Trinidad and Tobago/University of Delaware-USA; Dr. Muhammad Asri, Indonesia Global Consultants In addition, CI has a network of 40 international consultants trained in COMBI, scattered around the regions of the world, with various language skills, who can fulfill tasks related to unique aspects of COMBI technical expertise.
